Gail R. Williams is a retired Certified Chaplain and Palliative Care Coordinator who has dedicated her life to serving individuals grappling with the challenges of chronic illness. With over 14 years of experience in healthcare, Gail has worked in Oklahoma City, OK, Dallas, TX, and Knoxville, TN. During her nine-year tenure in Knoxville, she played a pivotal role in the expansion and development of Palliative Care teams across six regional hospitals, culminating in her retirement in 2014.
Gail’s professional journey began in radio and television marketing and sales in Pittsburgh, PA. Her path took a profound turn following the devastating illness of her daughter, Kimberly, who at the age of nine, died after a heart transplant due to cardiomyopathy in 1982. This devastating experience plunged Gail into a profound journey of healing and deliverance, forcing her to confront deep-rooted issues that had long been buried within her. After intense retrospection with the guidance and healing touch of the Holy Spirit, Gail arose from the ashes and transformed into a new person. Ten years later, a deep passion began to stir in her—a desire to support others as they navigated the darkest valleys of their lives. Out of her tragedy, Gail's Chaplain ministry was born. Gail's commitment to this mission has touched countless lives, offering comfort and guidance to those in their darkest hours.
Gail’s academic and professional training is grounded in a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, complemented by five units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed at the Oklahoma Health Center in Oklahoma City and her residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Her education is further enriched by master's level coursework in Pastoral Counseling at Oral Roberts University, equipping her with a deep understanding of the psychological and spiritual needs of those she serves.
For 14 years, Gail served as a dedicated Chaplain, a role she embraced with compassion and commitment. After retiring in 2014, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband, Carl, and their two children, Carl Jr. and Jessica. Today, Gail is a proud grandmother of five, whose lives fill her with immense joy.
Relocating with her family to Atlanta, Georgia, Gail now serves as the host of the Christian talk show "Atlanta Live" on WATC-TV 57. Her ministry continues with her good friend Karen Green as co-founder of LivingLove Women’s Ministries, focused on helping women navigate their internal struggles, empowering them to find peace and become the best versions of themselves through living love daily. Reflecting on her journey, Gail shares, "It is a profound honor to walk alongside individuals during the critical and sacred moments of their lives. My goal is to provide the comfort and support necessary to alleviate pain across all areas of a person's life—emotional, social, spiritual, and physical. I feel incredibly blessed to see my past, present, and future aspirations come to fruition in this ministry."
Gail continues to pursue her ministry goals with passion, viewing each opportunity to serve as a privilege and a calling that enriches her life and the lives of those she touches.
